For 1 1/2 hr , you will sailing with the Tamamsa from Grand-Baie, the tourist center of Mauritius, up to an island call Flat Island which is situated about 17 kms north of Mauritius. On its way the boat Tamamsa will pass by a first island, the Gunner's Coin, huge whale-like mountain in the sea. Straw-tails birds, which is the symbol of the national aviation, had chosen its cliff as their nesting place. Group of playful dolphins are often seen accompanying boats.

The timing
Meeting at least 15 minutes before boarding on the Tamamsa.
8:30 - Boarding
8:45 - Departure of the Tamamsa. Presentation , in the Bay of Grand Bay , of the crew members followed by a briefing about the boat and the trip . Alcoholic and fresh drinks are served as per requirement during sailing toward Flat Island .
11:00 - Anchoring in the lagoon of Flat island of the Tamamsa.
Presentation of the surrounding environment followed by a transfer of passengers from the catamaran to the beach .
Swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling for guests. Cleaning of the catamaran Tamamsa and lunch preparation by the crew .
12:30 - Lunch time on the island. On the menu various raw and cooked salads . Grilled fish and chicken served with pasta, rice and bread. Blazed banana for dessert. Meal will be accompanied wine, rum or homemade punch. Vegetarian menu on the Tamamsa is available on request at extra cost. After lunch, the catamaran (maybe) will leave Flat Island for a snorkeling session near the Gunner's Coin.
14:00 - The Tamamsa start moving back to Grand Bay with a snorkeling stop at the Gunner's Coin.
16:00 - Landing in Grand Bay. End of the tour
